These areas provide a stunning view of the constellations, moon, and planets all year round. The UK is also home to two International Dark Sky Parks, such as the Kielder Water and Forest Park. It is designated as an area with ‘an exceptional or distinguished quality of starry nights and a nocturnal environment.’ Moreover, Cumbria is listed as one of the top 5% of the darkest areas in the whole of Britain.
