Just finished a 2-day Lead Rope Solo course with Alex, and honestly, it was awesome! Day one was all about the fundamentals — setting up multidirectional anchors, trying out different self-belay devices, learning the pros and cons of each, and practicing a few ways to ascend the rope. Alex broke everything down super clearly and made sure we actually understood what was going on, not just memorizing steps. On day two we got into multipitch lead rope soloing, which was exactly what I was hoping for. I got to test different systems and figure out what setup works best for me. Alex was an absolute legend — super knowledgeable, patient, and easy to learn from. You can tell he’s got tons of real experience, and he’s great at sharing it in a way that’s practical and down-to-earth. Came away from the weekend feeling confident, safe, and really inspired to get out and keep practicing. Highly recommend this course if you’re curious about rope soloing — it’s a total game-changer!
